This is my first post on Word Press, which I’ll have for the reason of commenting on my writing, both of fanfiction and original fiction. There are a number of works I’m working on which I’ll list on the next blog.

Changeling Memory Progress:
I’m currently working on the rough draft, which I amped up the emotional going-ons, which I noticed was a bit dry for the first two chapters. I’ve made it a bit too strong, which means I’ll need to tone it down for the next draft. I’m showing Jazz coming back from the Ghost Zone and Daniel coming home to meet his parents, though there is a minor spat between Daniel and Vlad. I want to show that inspite of the new memories and Daniel’s willingness to help and trust Vlad, this is not an entirely blissful relationship nor an entirely trusting one. Vlad thinks that Danny’s true personality will come back and a small outburst confirms his fear, though his fears are not entirely grounded. The problem now is the reunion of the Fentons. As this is AU, Jazz was not aware in the beginning that Vlad is half-ghost, but is now. The two groups in the same room will be interesting and fun to write.
Untitled Chess Piece fanfic:
This being a fanfic of a not-yet finished work, a future story is certainly going to be Jossed at least on one point or another. The characters were renamed in this second version-they went from Lina (Short for Madeline, after her paternal grandmother) and Eleanor to Rita and Eleanore. They are named for Beatles songs (Eleanor Rigby and Lovely Rita, Meter Maid) and first wives (Eleanore Roosevelt and Rita Coolidge). The twins are the youngest children of Danny and Paulina Masters, the older brother having died in extremely questionable circumstances involving his kid sisters. Eleanore runs off and Rita deals with political matters in her sister’s abscence, now the heir-apparent. Both are evil, though Eleanore is cheerful like her mother and grandfather and Rita stoic, somewhat sullen teen. Eleanore comes back about five months later very apparently pregnant and Rita attempts to attack Rita, but gets stopped by the guards and her father, who is rather pissed at the girl himself.
One of the elements of this story that I allude to (versus bang on the head with in the original draft and planning) is incest, which is present/played with in Chess Piece. I hint that Eleanore impersonated her mother (to whom she has an amazing resemblance to) in order to seduce her father without him knowing it. She also made sure he was rather drunk, so he wouldn’t notice her lack of wrinkles-the twins were born a bit late in Danny and Paulina’s lives-the ’40′s, in fact-and may-or may not have gotten pregnant that way.
One problem was what to do with Rita. I was originally planning to have Paulina dead in childbirth and make something more of the family curse, then have Rita die questionably of either childbirth or being strangled by her father. I decided against both, as to avoid Wangst. I decided to have her go out the Elizabeth Bathory way-house arrest and confinement to her particular part of the palace until the day she dies, slowly going more and more insane (as if she wasn’t crazy to begin with). It gives me a chance to have some chilling scenes, with both sisters-Eleanore echoing Phantom and Rita growing more and more… like a Masters is how I’ll put it for now.
